This symposium will explore evolving approaches to early MS management, focusing on the importance of timely intervention of high-efficacy therapies in young people with MS or those with mild disease, and the gap between evidence and real-world practice. Faculty will consider how current understanding of MS and emerging data should inform treatment decisions in the early disease course, regardless of disease activity or patient profile.
Drawing on clinical and real-world evidence, the session will address key considerations including preservation of independence and quality of life, family planning and outcomes associated with early versus delayed intervention across diverse patient populations. An interactive, question-led format will support discussion of real-world clinical decision-making and evolving practice.
